I'm not usually big on anything automated in Photoshop except vignette actions, but I tried Totally Rad Actions recently and was pleasantly surprised at some of the effects. These were both done with a combination of TR Actions and my own processing choices. I don't think I'd ever use just an action and leave it at that; there's always something that needs to be specific to that one picture.

Buck

See that old guy there with the hearing aids? There's probably a picture of him under the entry of "man" in the dictionary.

He played college baseball alongside Jackie Robinson at UCLA, played football in the Rose Bowl. Joined ROTC, joined the Army, volunteered for the paratroops. Jumped out of a perfectly good airplane and landed in Normandy. Silver Star at Brecourt Manor, wounded in Market Garden, was there in the Ardennes when Bill Guarnere (a couple of posts down in a great pic by Kyle) lost his leg, and was never quite the same after seeing his friend get maimed. After the war, he was a cop. While he was a cop, he worked on a law degree, and then became a chief deputy DA. He prosecuted Sirhan Sirhan. Then he became a judge.

There hasn't been a post in a while, so I thought I'd contribute.

I just recently started browsing the communities here, and a lot of them are gamer girls and girls only... kind of dumb if you ask me. I do understand why it could be an issue, but one community talked about how you can't really talk to a guy about a game. Uhh, okay?

So I wound up here. I'm a geek, a gamer geek to be specific. My intelligence is here, it's just been disappearing for the last five years due to my love of video games. It's not all I do, but it has taken me away from something called a book.

I figured I'd reach out to people and ask if anyone wanted to play an online game sometime? Diablo 1 or 2, Starcraft, Warcraft 3, Titan Quest, Guild Wars, Sacred (just started playing this), etc. - I'm all for it. Or if someone feels like diving into discussions about great (and nostalgic) classic games, I'd enjoy that as well.

Yay geeks!
